Should I Start Taking Sertraline ?

Hello. I was recently prescribed sertraline (about a month ago). I ve been taking it and not sure I feel much of a difference. My doc increased my daily dosage to 100mg to take at night. I am nervous in general about taking any medication and my doc prescribed it after about a 20 minute visit so I m just a little uneasy. Should I be concerned or just give it a chance?

Hi
Thanks for using healthcare magic

There is nothing to worry about these symptoms. Initially for few days, most of antidepressants lead to anxiety symptoms. In that case, you should carry on the drug. With time, the side effects would decrease and it would help to control the rest of the symptoms. If these side effects stay for days, then you can try to change to another antidepressant or decrease the dose. In case, you need further help, you can ask.

Thanks
