Should I Take Duphaston Tablets After Getting Periods For Undergoing IVF Treatment?

Hi I'm under fertility treatment going to have IVF very soon. Doctor gave me Duphaston 10mg tablet to get my periods n told me to take twice a day. Today I got my periods n I have 3 more tablets left over. Do I need to continue to take those remaining 3 tablets????

Hi,
There is no need to continue the medication now as you have attained menstruation. Progesterone supplementation is usually advised during the latter half of the cycle whenever artificial reproduction is contemplated. Your doctors would prescribe you the necessary medication later on when IVF is done. So, please stop using the medication now as continuing the treatment may lead to irregular and incomplete flow.
