Hello. Thanks for asking from HCM.

I can understand your concern. Usually dangerous head injury deteriorates with in 72 hours of incident. After that, most symptoms starts settling. In case of your husband, if there was no headache in between and it is occurring now, it could be due to other reason. But if headache was present throughout whole week and it has increased now, it could be due to head injury.

In case of your husband, this injury seems mild. The reason is
: He is conscious, oriented.
: There was no vomiting, loss of consciousness, fits, focal deficit

Present symptoms of headache, nausea, neck pain could be due to abdominal complaint or headache. If he is having abdominal pain, burning sensation in upper abdomen, reflux, it could be gastritis or reflux disease.
For relief, ask him to avoid fatty spicy food, take pantoprazole after prescription, avoid heavy meals.

If no abdominal pain, main complaint is headache which is dull, holocranial, along with heaviness, occurring with neck pain, increasing with light/straining/working and relief on taking rest/lying, it could be due to tension headache. For relief, he may take Diclofenac sodium after proper prescription. Avoid bright light/stress. Ask him to sleep properly.
If still no relief, you should consult Doctor.

Hope it will help you. Take care. Thanks
