Should I Take Medication For 242 Cholesterol Level?

Good evening Dr. Koregol. I just received my blood work and was slightly concerned with my cholesterol level at 242. I am 39, healthy, 5'9", 175. However, I entertain a great deal for my job and unfortunately, I am surrounded with appetizers and alcohol. Perhaps you have a suggestion? Or does this level deserve medication?
