Should I Test For Herpes As I Have Slight Itching On Head And Feet?
i am in a long term relationship. not many other partners. recently i got it in my head that i could have asymptomatic herpes. then i started feeling pain and slight itching in spots all over my body -- head, feet, genitals. just an itch for a second that then goes away. what do you think?
i never had any oral anything in my life until recently had a tiny maybe cold sore. my girlfriend reports having them on occasion for her whole life, so she's probably the source of that.
i had this fear years ago and saw a doctor, he told me i had no symptoms and ordering thr test could show whether i had ever been exposed but he didn't recommend it because "what are you gonna do with that information"
do i need to be evaluated for a genital herpes infection?
Even I dont think that you are having genital herpes as it presents with fever, bodyaches and small blisters on the genitals or sometimes can be asymptomatic as mentioned by you. But since you seem to be in great worry you can go for IgG for herpes virus 1 and 2.This will confirm whether you are suffering from herpes infection or not.
