Should I Undergo C Section Inspite Of Having Non Descended Baby Into Pelvis?

Hi , I am Anita 38 weekspregnant with weight 69 kgs and height 5 6 and EDD 28 July 2011. This is my first pregnancy. My baby has not descended into pelvis till now and also i have developed itching all over body with swelling in legs. My doctor says to go for induced labor and subsequenly for C section if that fails. Please guide.

Hello dear,I understand your concern.In my opinion by term the head of the baby should
enter into true pelvis.In first pregnancy it might occur in first stage of labour.So if the fetal movements are good and no other complications and adequate liquor you might wait for spontaneous onset of labour till 41 weeks.If no pains even then you might be induced and if failed surgery might be advisable.
