Should I Undergo Nuclear Stress Test To Diagnose Chest Pain?

Scheduled for an angiogram tomorrow. 55 year old male. 20 lbs over weight and exprienced chest pains Sunday night. Blood work was negative during three draws and EKG showed a slight abnormality. Cardiologist stated she was ok with either a nuclear stress test or an angiogram. I do not know my family history. Not on blood pressure meds nor am I taking any cholestoral lowering meds. Diet hasn t been heart healthy overall and mild exercise habits. Having questions about the risk versus a nuclear stress test. THoughts?

I have read your question closely, I understand your concern and will be helping you with your health related problem. Its good that you haven't had a heart attack complaints seem to be minor and heart issues will be minor if any, so will the treatment be, my thoughts about this issue are that your should wait and watch how things proceed and hope for the best.

I hope your angio comes out to be negative but even it is positive, still it's a good thing that problem will be caught before any major heart event happened.
