Should My Husband Continue Doxycycline Or Switch To Flucloxacillin For Cellulitis Now That He S Not In Contact With Immunosuppressed Individuals?

Hello. My husband was taking a course of doxycycline for a minor infection - considered probably viral but he was given antibiotics in case bacterial as we were away from home and had to interact with someone immuno-supressed. Two days in, just before we were due to come home, he noticed that his leg was showing signs of cellulitis. In the past he has had some very bad episodes of cellulitis where he had to be hospitalised. As a result he has a standby pack of flucloxacillin to take whenever there are signs of cellulitis. So as soon as we were home he started on the flucloxacillin. Should he continue with the doxycycline or stop it? We are home now and he is no longer in contact with the immono-supressed person.
