Should My Roommate Be Experiencing Severe, Debilitating Pain Eight Months After Multiple Surgeries For Gangrene?

My roommate had 8 surgeries the first few were emergency for gangrene on her bowel. She died 3 times on the table, the gangrene was related to severe diabetes that she wasn t aware she had. 8 months later and after 5 months in the hospital she is in severe pain pretty much all day long can t sleep. They keeps saying everything is fine even though we were informed that they messed up the surgery. They haven t done anything but look on the outside. She shouldn t be having debilitating pain should she?
