Hello, My name is Erica and I am 19 years old. I am currently taking the a contraception pill called Ortho TriCyclen Lo. I have been on the pill for a year. This past Sunday I completed my 2nd week of the active pills for this pack. I should have started the dark blue active pills the next day, Monday. I did not take my pill Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. It is now Thursday and I have missed three pills in a row. I read the instructions that came with this pack for information on what to do and it said to throw this pack away and start a whole new pack. This means I will prolong my period because of this mistake. My question is if it is okay for me to start a whole new pack or should I just have my period for a few days and then start the pack Sunday? I believe I should start another pack immediately but I just need to be sure. Thank you.
