Should Platinum Implants In My Leg And Wrist Be Urgently Removed Due To A Nearby Infection?

I have platinum prostheses in my leg and wrist. There was an infection in a part of my leg close to the wrist. Should I have the platinums removed urgently? Can the nails in the platinum carry the infection to the bone? Is it a solution to use antibiotics? Will antibiotics reach the place where the platinums are?
