Should Scanning Be Done On 10th Day After Periods While Being On Ovofar While Having Polycystic Ovaries?
I had miscarriage on 17th march 2012 and is not conceived after that since now when I had done ultrasound i came to know about having polystyrene ovaries.Now doctor is suggested to start ovofar 100mg from 2nd day of my menses and he is told me to go for scanning on the 10th day. Shall i go on the 10th day or later on 15th day

Poly cystic ovaries presents with symptoms like irregular periods, anovulation, insulin resistance, infertility etc. So, to counteract the anovulation your doctor might have prescribed Ovofar containing clomiphene citrate, which is used for ovulation induction.
After taking tablets for induction, ovulation can occur between 13th to 17th day in case of regular 28 to 30 days cycles. But sometimes that can happen early also. So, better to follow your doctor's advise and go for follicular study from 10th day onwards.
With alternate day scanning the possible time of ovulation can be assessed and by planning unprotected intercourse around that period, the chances of pregnancy will increase.
