Should Sore Throat And Facial Pain Be Treated Using Antibiotics?

i have been having green thick sinus mucas last 3 months. I and on antibiotics for it 2 months ago without any improvement other than the pain going away. I woke up this evening with a sore throat and facial pain again. should I see my dr again for another round of antibiotics?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You may be suffering from acute sinusitis with pharygitis. Use water vapor inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day for five days. Use tablet Pantoprazole before breakfast for one week. Use water vapor inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day for five days. Use tablet Amoxiclav twice a day for five days. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
