Should The Gallbladder Be Removed If It Has Multiple Polyps In It?

I have multiple polyps on my gallbladder the largest being 8mm. My consultant has monitored the situation for about 2 years. The polyps had multiplied when the scan was done about a year ago but the ultrasound I had recently has stayed the same. My consultant is asking again if I want to go ahead with the operation to have my gallbladder removed. I m unsure what to do.
