Should The Vaginal Rash With Infection Be Treated With Monistat?

Hello, I went to my doctor because of viginal iritation and i was told i had bacteria and discharge so they gave me antibiotics. The antibiotics caused me to have a yeast infection and also a rash outside my vigina and around it. I've been using the cream monistat to see if it helps get rid of the rash. What should i do? should i keep using monistat or should i let the rash heal by itself?
