Hi my thyroid was on January 5.8 doctor prescribe me 50 mcg for two month ,I will test it in last week

As per advice I am continue on levothyroxine medicine ,I feel good ,my periods came last month and it was very normal 4days periods, I feel great, weak up early, feel fresh,my stomach pain gone after starting this medicine,I am gonna continue this medicine ,but I in refs my weight I know this is because thyroid levels,I have to work hard to loose it.

Doctor, many people said me that it was lifelong disease ,so I was very scared about this, I don't want this for lifelong, can this medicine helps me to destroy this disease ?

I have one more question, can we plan for baby while my treatment going on? We are planning for having a baby in this year,so is it safe for TTC? Plz guide me

Thank you,

Hello,
Good day.
Most likely it is a life long treatment. Next time when you check your thyroid blood tests, check Anti TPO also. That will give us a clue.
It is absolutely safe to take thyroxine in pregnancy. Infact you should increase the tablets in pregnancy to keep your TSH less than 2.5 before planning pregnancy and during the first three months of pregnancy.
