Hi,

Presence of fibrohaze infiltrates may due to many causes- infective, inflammatory, auto immune or a growth. Hence, it is a requirement to reach at a final diagnosis. Though, the sputum examination is negative, still, for a definitive diagnosis, further testing is required and if needed, a biopsy may also be indicated from the lesion.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
