Hello Milind,

Glad to hear you have good glycemic control with Gemer 2 (combination of Glimepride 2mg+Metformin 500mg).
As you know there are no medications without side effects but what is important is to weigh the benefits against the side effects.
Some of the side effects of Gemer 2 include Diarrhoea, vomiting, metallic taste, rash, isolated transaminase elevations, cholestatic jaundice, allergic skin reactions, photosensitivity reactions, leukopaenia, agranulocytosis, thrombocytopaenia, haemolytic anaemia, aplastic anaemia, pancytopaenia, blurred vision.
You should continue taking the medication for control of blood sugar and not stop without discussing with your treating doctor.
Regards.
