Skin Became Dry, Red And Burning After Using Tone N Glo Facewash And Deriva Gel. Should I Stop Medication?
hi i m 19 yrs old n my skin is oily n i hv pimple marks on my skin so my doc. suggestd me to use tone n glo intas facewash n deriva bpo gel at night but now i m facing problems like extreme dry skin near eyes n lips n burning n redness too...should i stop using it or its normal n its a part of the treatment??
You seem to have developed Irritation to the products you have been using. Tone n Glo face wash contains glycloic acid annd salicylic acid. Using it along with Deriva-bpo(adapalene+benzoyl peroxide) which is itself irritant can cause additive irritation together.
If i were your treating doctor i would have asked you to stop using the products altogether till the irritation resolves(might take a week).
Once the irritation resolves, restart Deriva -BPO (on alternate nights initially)
Use a gentle cleanser for cleansing your face instead of the face wash that you have been using.
take care regards
