Skin On The Leg From The Knee After Total Knee Replacement Gets Really Itchy

maybe you can help. I had a total knee replacement in Aug of this year, everything went well the healing process pt etc. and I was back to work in 6 weeks. Lately the skin on that leg from the knee down gets really itchy and I m afraid to scratch it because I don t want to cause any sores or infections so I run it. I ve tried Vit E oil and a few other things but the relief is short lived. Why is it itchy and what can I use?
