Hey, im a 17 year old male, and I have this thing in the past weeks where I sleep 12 hours a day or more, I come from school at 2 pm, I eat and by 3:30 pm I sleep... I wake up at 2 am... i want to know if this could be because Im going to get sick or anything... I dont excersise and i dont have good health habits, can someone help me? P.S. i also have this thing that when Im sleeping i wake up with a lack of air every 2 to 5 hours, also my heartbeat is higher when this happens...
First of all you should be able to explain to your self why arre you not exercising, sleeping for 12 hours and leading a sedentery life style. All three conditions are very bad for health. Body converts food into energy and the energy needs to be spend somehow. For that activities are essential. A 17 year old is supposed to be much more active. Your feelings and heart beat and gaspings might be fake alarm calls because you are worried about your health. You want to exercise and lead a normal active life. But the laziness in you prevents you. This conflict creates anxiety about health resulting in sleep problems. Consult a psychologist. I can help you. Get well soon.
