Slight Loss Of Vision, Having Hard Time With Speech And Thought. Feeling Sick. Is It Any Form Of Migraine? Advise?
My daughter is 12 and it started with a slight loss of vision in her right eye and blurred vision, that was at 2:30 today. Then at about 4:30 she had a hard time with her speech and thought process of words. Her is throbbing, but not in a particular area just all over. She feels extremely sick to her stomach. I, myself have had the same thing and was told that it was a different form of migraine. Is there anything particular that I can do to help her through this and is it normal for a 12 year to experience this type of migraine?
I appreciate any info you can give me. I know what she is feeling and could just cry for her. Thanks,
Hi.. Thanks for the query.. Sorry to hear that she is suffering a lot with pain.. It could be a classical migraine with aura... That means she will have this bright flashes of light in front of the eyes with blurring some times associated with stomach upset(nausea) and some time abnormal movements also.. It is unusual for a 12 yr old kid to have such a classical migraine but not rare.. Because the dose of medicines has to be perfect you can consult one pediatrician or pediatric neurophysician for proper diagnosis and treatment.. Hope this information helps you.. Take care...
