Slight Pain In The Lungs After Exposure To Ash. Is The Ash Trapped In The Lungs?
Hi, I recently got rid of and old oil burner in my basement. I cleaned the ash off the floor, but it seems to be lingering for days in the air. I have been working out in my basement while I train for a half marathon. Recently after running I have noticed a very dull, slight pain in my lungs................Is this the ash trapped in my lungs and will it go away? It doesn't hurt that badly, but the half marathon is this Sunday. I appreciate any help and guidance.
DEAR JOHN, THERE IS NOTHING TO WORRY AS ASH IS TRAPPED IN YOUR LUNGS. THE REASON WHY YOU ARE HAVING THIS FEELING IS THAT DURING CLEANING OF THE FLOOR THERE HAD BEEN INHALATION OF LARGE QUANTITIES OF ASH WHICH HAS CAUSED A LITTLE BRONCOSPASM(NORMALLY ASH IS KNOWN TO CAUSE THIS). YOU CAN CONSULT A DOCTOR WHO CAN ADVISE YOU A BRONCHODILATOR OR INHALED ALBUTROL FOR SOMEDAYS WHICH CAN RELEIVE YOUR SYMPTOMS.
