Small Clots In Urine Not Frequently, Without Abdominal Cramps Or Back Pain In 15th Week Of Pregnancy

dear madam/sir , right now iam 15weeks preganant, given human gonadotophin injection weekly once for 14weeks,
stopped after entering 14week, along with naturogest SR,after that was prescribed with lupigest 200 mg. ,right now using only lupigest 200mg tablet. i can still see small clots in my urine not frequently, without any abdominal cramps or back pain, i had haematuria 10yrs ago, the then doctor told me there was no problem in reports, when ever i do strenous excercise i used to see clots (small), even light red shade urine, all my organs are fine kidney/urinarybladder/) but ureter are narrow by birth, so the doctor advised me to take rest, take plenty of fluids, now also all my reports are normal. still iam getting clots. even my ultrasound scan is fine, everytime my doctor says the foetus is good, but the placenta is little low. iam worried as iam confused whether the clots are due to pregnancy or due to my narrow ureter, or due to low placenta..pls give your suggestions.yesterday also my doctor told everything is normal, i dont have any abdominal cramps.

Hello and welcome to health care magic,

You have provided a confusing history. You have a low lying placenta and clots in urine and then you are not sure if the bleeding comes from the vagina or urine.

If the baby is fine it is a good sign. I suggest that you see a urologist and get a urine microscopy test done for blood from a catheter sample meaning the sample collected by putting a small red rubber catheter. Also when you bleed, rush to your gynec and ask for a per speculum examination to see if the blood is coming from the uterus. These two are very important investigations and will help in determining the origin of blood. Then treatment will be according to the condition causing the bleed.
Thanks for using HCM.
Have a good day.
