Small Lump Below The Right Ear, Not Painful. Suggestion?

I have noticed a very small lump just below the right ear at first ( about 8 months ago). My DO felt it was a swollen lymph gland. I dismissed it at that. The small lump did not change, however last night while I was laying on my right side I felt what had been a small lump was actually larger (more like a grape size) lump. When I am upright the lump is almost undetectable, it is only when I lay on my side that I noticed a larger mass. It does not hurt, I feel fine but I will be making a call for an appointment Monday.

Hi ! From the site of your swelling it could be a swelling arising from the right parotid gland ( a salivary gland located below the ear) or may be a simple benign cyst arising in the subcutaneous tissue of that area. I would suggest you to get yourself examined clinically by your family physician or an ENT specialist who may advise you for a fine needle aspiration biopsy (FNAC) of the swelling before proceeding further.
Wishing you an early recovery.
