Small, Slightly Red Rough Spot Inside Of Cheek. Reason? Cure?

Small, slightly red rough spot inside of cheek for over a week. I feel it with my tongue . See it with a flashlight. Doesn t seem to be getting worse or getting better. Don t recall any biting either. I smoked for three months this yr, 4 months last yr. quit for the 9 yrs before that. The spot isn t a growth, but more of a depression .
