Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
With the available described symptoms, there appears to be possibility of fracture of nasal bone or sift tissue injury.
Falling on snow may cause deeper injury.
You should consult with ENT surgeon/ general surgeon and should go for thorough check up.
You should go for x ray of PNS view which also includes nasal bridge.
If fracture is present then you should consult with orthopedic surgeon along with plastic surgeon.
If fracture is absent then there is high chances of soft tissue injury and it will take 10-14 days for recovery of bruise and localized swelling.
take care,

General Surgeon Dr. Grzegorz Stanko's  Response
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

It is very easy to break the nose so this should always be considered. But what is more serious is head trauma which you have had. If you lost your consciousness or have any nausea, vomiting, dizziness, blurred vision or headache, there is a possibility of brain injury. That is why you should have at least neurological examination and probably head CT to make sure everything is fine. Broken nose in some cases needs a reposition.

Hope this will help.
Regards.

General & Family Physician Dr. Pavan Kumar Gupta's  Response
Hello,
As far as fracture of nasal bone is concerned, only x-ray can tell about it.
As far as pain and swelling is concerned apply ice locally for two days and take anti inflammatory like ibuprofen 400 mg three times a day for 3 to 5 days.
You should be all right soon.
Thanks
