Smoked A Lot Of Cigarettes. Throat Hurting. Take Treatment?
Hello. Well, I smoke cigarettes. Probably about a week ago, I smoked a lot more than normal, maybe 25 in one day, where as I normally only smoke about 10. The next day my throat hurt pretty bad, and hurt even more when I smoked. So because of the pain I ve cut back to about 2-3 a day, and it felt like it was getting better, so today I smoked 5. The pain re-increased. I m wondering, is this just going to go away? Or I need to do something to make it or help it go away?
hi there, as you have noticed that smoking is making your throat worst and it is not a co-incidence. The toxic fumes of the cigeratte is causing irritation of the throat whhich is manifesting as pain and irrritation. You will need to cut down or totally stop smoking as not only now but in the future also it can be harmful to you. You may do warm saline gargles and use cough drops to decrease the throat irritation. You may also use ansti-inflammaatory tablets after meals to decrease the pain. Permanent cure would be to discontinue smoking. Take care.
