Smoked Meth, Drank Alcohol. Having Sore Throat, Cough, Hoarse Voice. No Help From Home Remedies. Take Antibiotics?

i recently smoked alot of meth with some friends and drank alcohol i have to speak quite alot at work and i have had a hoarse sore throat horrible cough and coarse voice for 2 days i have tried sucking on lemon and ice with mineral water butter menthols , soothers, gargled salt, ate honey had a hot shower and inhaled the steam but my voice is still gone how much longer will it be like this? should i get some antibiotics? or antiinflammatory medication?

Hi there ~

I understand your concerns. I think that smoking meth and drinking alcohol to a point of being dependent on them might make your physiological health to deteriorate as well and make you to have a very hoarse throat, due to infection - pharyngitis. Although this is treatable with antibiotics, if infection is the cause, going off of the substances is the grass root treatment that you need to have to end you misery with having bodily symptoms. Please consult a psychiatrist or your local doctor to have yourself detoxed from these drugs. In the meantime, it might be helpful to use over the counter medications to help with the symptoms.
