Smooth Right Side Of Tongue, Started As Small Spot. Started After Quitting Smoking. What Could Be This?
The right side of my tongue has gone smooth. It started out as a small spot but has now grown in a few days. I gave up smoking a couple of weeks ago and thats when it started. I am 24 years old and have had no previous medical complications or conditions. I am starting to become a bit worried it doesn't look like geographic tongue as there is no border around the smooth patch and the patch is the same colour as my tongue it doesn't look really red or any other colour, what could it be?
Hi, Apparantly it looks like having some B.complex, folic acid deficiency. But as you had habit of smoking in recent past, your lesion requires evaluation. Consult oral surgeon and get examined and rule out Leucoplekia. Meanwhile take some B.complex and folic acid supplements. Take more green veggies and fresh fruits and juices. ok and take care.
