So I Was Shoved Underwater And My Ear Popped Loudly

So I was shoved underwater and my ear popped loudly underwater and then proceeded to hurt badly. I am a swimmer so I have had multiple swimmer ears and dealt with them fine but this one hurts extensively and I cannot hear out of my ear. I put some ear ache drops in it and am now laying on it trying it have gravity pull the water out. How can I fix it and what is wrong because this is worse than swimmers ear.
