Hi and thank you so much for this query. The most common cause of a painless lump on the skin is a lipoma. It is generally painless soft to touch easily moveable and of same color as the surrounding skin. It is more common in fat persons. It generally increases over time. Treatment is generally surgical if need be. However, you would need to see your primary care doctor to eliminate other possible causes of a lump on the body like a swollen lymph node before settling with a lipoma.
