Hello and welcome to health care magic.
The feeling of heaviness of chest is a sign of esophagitis caused from reflux of acid from your stomach irritating the lower end of esophagus.
It's not the presence of air or stuck food as you think.
My advice is to visit a gastroenterologist and let him have a look at your symptoms. The doctor will prescribe proton pump inhibitors like Omeprazole which will stop this discomfort and will also heal any gastric ulcers if present. Make sure that you avoid spicy food and alcohol till its healed, as they can worsen your symptoms.
Hope this discussion will be helpful to you.
Thank you.
