Hi there, from what i could gather, you probably have muscle cramps or intercostal neuralgia. It could also be costochondritis or even a pneumonia. So what i would suggest you is to take analgesics, if they bring you some relief then fine else please visit a physicians' office along with a chest x-ray and a few lab values which would throw light on the condition of the lung.
Ayurveda Specialist Dr. Rajesh Lakhanpaul's  Response
Ayurveda in such symptoms believes it to be vatik imbalance. if it is associated with billious taste or burning also then both vat and pit are in state of imbalance. To cure it we suggest Avipatikar churan with shankh bhasam500 mg with two tab.of soot shekhar ras BD

Thanks for choosing healthcare magic.Your question could have multiple answers.most likely seems to your guess gas problem. If you happen to feel this when on heavy stomach or empty stomach,it is more likely.Try to avoid fermented foods or spicy foods and avoid eating large portions at a time.Muscular problem could also be the problem you can try local analgesics .This should solve the problem.if not pl. see your family doctor.
