Son Got A Bump On The Head. Feels Hurt And Irritable. Wakes Up At Night. What Should I Do?
My 4 year old son was climbing under a table and a salt lamp fell and hit him in the head over 2 weeks ago. He cried for a bit, we put some ice on his head and he quickly moved on and seemed fine. He didn't bleed or even get a bump. Just this evening when I was putting him to bed I lightly touched his head and he yelled "ouch" and thought I bumped his head with mine but I didn't. He said his head still hurts and that was the area where the lamp fell, on top towards the right side. He was irritable these past few weeks and has been waking up at night but it didn't seem to be connected to that. Other than that he seems ok. What should I do?
if there was no unconsiousness and child is having normal activities then should not worry thje lump can be due to swelling which occurs below skin after trauma you can apply local pain killer gel but i may suggest you to go for head scan for being absolotely sure that there is nothing damaged in brain
