Sore Eye, Pressure In Head. Pregnant, MRI Shows Sinus Fluid. Taking Antibiotics. Any Ideas?

My daughter had MRI which shows some sinus fluid. She has had sore eye. Pressure in head and bonging in ear for a month. She is also just pregnant. Doc says could be a form of meningitis or low spinal fluid or sinus infection. She's been on antibiotics and penicillin tho. Do u have any idea what thus or could it be sinus?

Hello

Welcome in H.C.M.

I read your query regarding sore eyes, pressure in head, mri shows fluid in sinus. Your daughter is pregnant, but the treating doctor is in doubt about meningitis.

As per symptoms it appears to be sinusitis but clinical examination is must to establish the diagnosis. but this confussion of your doctor may be clear by CSF examination. Which will rule out meningitis.

I hope above answers your query.

Regards.
