Sore In Groin Area, Tiredness, Lethargy, Bruised Wound. Angiogram Done. Causes For Symptoms?

I had an angiogram on Wednesday afternoon. No blockages or problems were found. It is now Saturday afternoon, and in addition to being extremely sore at the groin site, I am extremely tired and lethargic. The wound is bruised but soft and appears to be healing properly. I ve had contrast before, so some kind of reaction doesn t seem likely. I m just so tired. What could be going on?

Hi there,

Thanks for reposing your faith in me.

Firstly, you should feel highly relieved that your angiogram is normal.

However, following the procedure, the bruise around the site of puncture takes around 4-5 days to heal substantially. Therefore, there is no need of concern unless it fails to heal in 7 days time or there is oozing of pus from the wound.

Please maintain proper hygiene at and around the puncture site so as to prevent contamination of the wound.

You are most welcome to revert back in case of further clarifications, if any.

Have a nice day.
