Sore Throat. Had Endometrial Ablation. What Could Be This?

I had a Endometrial Ablation early Friday morning, and everything went just fine. I notice Friday night my throat was really sore, so I looked down my throat and noticed that there were bloody spots on the left and right side of my throat! No one put any instruments down my throat while I was having this procedure done. I was wondering if this could be a allergy reaction to something!

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello

Thanks for consulting H.C.M.

I read your query regarding sore throat which developed after one week of a surgical proceedure ( Endometrial ablation ).

Here I would like to tell you that sore throat is not concern with your previous surgical proceedure i.e. endometrial ablation. This is a separate problem of throat which most of times found to be infective, may be viral or bacterial but some times it is allergic also.

Now I would like to suggest you to do culture and sensitivity of throat swab to identify the causative organism and the appropriate antibiotic as per exitance of infection. In the meantime you may take-

(a) Tab Paracetamol.

(b) Tab cetrizine.

(c) Warm saline gargling.

I think your query had been answered.

Regards.
