Sore Throat, Blood In Sputum, Bleeding From Behind Mouth Near Tonsils. Causes And Treatment?
I have had a sore throat for a few days now and today after it started hurting worse then normal I spit up blood . Looking at the back of my mouth I had blood coming from the back of my mouth near my tonsils running steady down the side/back of my mouth and down my throat. Any idea what might be causing this? or how to treat it?

The bleeding maybe due a rupture of a vessel due to the infection and will require urgent medical care. Please rush to your doctor immediately. meanwhile you can suck on an ice cube , this will help reduce the bleeding temporarily.
