Sore Throat, Cough, Started After Having Respiratory Infection. Finished Penicillin Dosage. What Is The Cure?

I have had a massive
sore throat ever since I had upper respiratory Infection 2 years ago. At that time I also had a severe cough that lasted at least 6 months. I did get rid of the cough but I still have an extremely bad sore throat that keeps me awake. I have just finished a 30 day supply of Penicillin.What do you suggest?

Please, consider to get consulted and evaluated by an ENT specialist. All chronic diseases merit a specialist attention. At times, recurrent sore throat infections may warrant surgical management to get symptoms controlled. Also, have you ever gotten a throat culture with drug testing and sensitivity?
