Sore Throat, Difficulty In Sleeping, Painful. Smoked For First Time Days Before. Treatment To Ease Pain?

So the other day, as a high school tradition, us seniors had a barbecue and smoked cigars. I've never smoked once in my life, and ended up having 3-4 cigars in the course of 3 hours. that was thursday. So now, being early saturday morning, i've woken up from a sore throat that seems to be getting a lot worse. It started yesterday, and is to the point where I can't fall asleep because i'm forced to keep swallowing. I'm worried that it'll distract me as I study for my exams this weekend and take them this next week. Any suggestions on how to help ease the pain?

Hi,
Welcome to HCM,
It seems that due cigar smoke there is severe irritation in your throat giving rise to this problem
Do warm water gargle or Listerene gargles.
Take some antiseptic, soothing lozenges.
Avoid fries and junk food for few days.
Now onwards never smoke a cigar.
If pain is more take some pain killer tablet.
Ok and bye.
