Sore Throat, Dry Mouth. Had Unprotected Sex. STD?

Hi,

A week ago I had unprotected sex with a female friend, but did not ejaculate. I asked her afterwards if she had been checked for STIs since her last sexual partner and she said yes, and that her results were clear (however I obviously don't know if this is true). I thought nothing of it, but then 3 days ago began to develop a sore throat, and the area around my tonsils is very red - I also have a dry mouth. I'm worried that I may have contracted HIV/AIDS although I know this is unlikely - do you consider it a risk that I may have contracted either of these?
