Sore Throat, Fatigue And Mucus In The Mouth. Whitish Spots In The Throat. What Are These?
I ve been having a sore/ scratched throat for about a day and a half now, and have had other symptoms such as achiness, fatigue , and built up mucus in my mouth. Just a bit ago, while looking at my throat I noticed a small white colored speck in the part of the throat that was hurting- it was not on my tonsils. What does this mean?
The white colored spot in the back of your throat may indicate a bacterial infection of the pharynx/throat. Most cases of pharyngitis are viral and do not require antibiotics however they may be necessary if pustules are seen.
The other symptoms are in keeping with a respiratory tract infection. You should get some rest, drink alot of fluids and consider visiting your doctor if the sore throat continue or worsens.
Hello,
Thanks for writing your query to us.
You seem to have developed a throat infection may be bacterial or viral. Consult your doctor so that he will examine your throat & see if there is any localised focus of infection & depending on the severity he will suggest you antibiotics if required. Till that time do salt water gargle, avoid fried or oily food items , take rest & have more water.
Wish you good health.
