Sore Throat, Nausea, Difficulty In Swallowing, Tight Neck. Do I Have Hypothyroid?

hi, for 1 and a half year I have had off on laryngitis,now a sore throat,nausea off on in the am,now having having a hard time swallowing,liquids and solid foods,sometime I feel like my neck is getting tight,but not like an allergic reaction looking for a stepping stone on were to star t if this helps I do have hypothyroid thank you sheryl

Thanks for your query

i can feel your concerns

do you have weight gain or lethargy or increase tendency to sleep?

do you have enlarged thyroid

if thyroid is enlarged and you have above mentioned symptoms ,then go for thyroid function tests after consulting your doctor


if she has fever then her antibiotic has to be changed
you will require few investigations like endoscopy to diagnose your problem

take green tea and honey

steam inhalation also improve symptoms

avoid cold and soft drinks

take plenty of fluids

saline gargles are effective remedy for sorethroat

wishing you a speedy recovery
