Sore Throat, Nauseated, Hot And Cold Sweats, Been Excessively Hungry, Left Abdominal Pain. Had Food Poisoning. Suggestion?

Hi am 50 year old male I woke up Saturday morning with a sore throat and nauseous hot and cold sweats, I slept all day and night and have spent all day today in bed not hungry can't face eating and Saturday didnt even want to drink I thought I may have had food poisoning but that dosnt explain the sore throat I also have a pain in the left side of my abdomen like stich .

Hi and thanks for the query.
Looks like you have come down with acute pharyngitis (infection of the throat)Infection of the throat can produce fever, body ache, loss of appetie, tiredness.
You should see a doctor as soon as possible.
You may require anti inflammatory antipyretic drugs and antibiotics.
Till then you can follow some general measures.
1) Warm salt water gargling 4 times per day.
2) Plenty of fluids - 4 litres per day.
3) Adequate diet.
4) Avoid airconditioning, fan, and cold foods.
