HI I have gone through your mail and as you said that you usually have attacks of sore throat at the interval of two months, every time during attack you also have pain on neck radiating to shoulder and chest. In this connection I would like to tell you that pain of sore throat never radiate to shoulder or chest on the other hand pain of sore throat / tonsillitis usually radiate up to jaw and ears. So you may go for M.R.I. neck to rule out abnormality of cervical spine and radiculopathy (involvement of cervical nerve roots).thus your sore throat may be cured by tonsillectomy but pain radiating to shoulder and chest is appears to be different so prior to surgical step take opinion of neurologist. Thanks.
