Hi,
Thanks for asking the query,
Bacterial and viral infection leads to abscess formation, fever and
sore throat, viral infection leads to sore throat.
Painful bumps under the tongue can be because of
salivary gland swelling, cystic lesion like ranula, ulceration or some kind of infection arrising from the adjacent tooth.
I would suggest you to visit to a
Dentist and get a thorough clinical examination, take an x-ray if needed. Exact diagnosis can be made on visual examination of the area, radiographic diagnosis will confirm the lesion depending upon which treatment will be decided.
Take complete course of antibiotic and
analgesic.
Maintain a good
oral hygiene, use antiseptic mouthwash gargles.
Hope this helps out.
Regards.
