Sore Throat, Post Nasal Drainage After Endoscopy Of Esophagus. Cough Persisting. What To Do?

3 weeks ago I had an endoscopy with a biopsy of the esophagus and stomach. I had a slight sore throat and postnasal drainage before the procedure. That continued and worsened throughout the week following the procedure. I went to a nurse practitioner and was prescribed augmentin for 10 days. That helped but the cough has never gone away. I don't have a sore throat but the cough seems to be caused by somewhat of a tickle in my throat. There is a little mucus coming up with the cough but mostly in the a.m. The cough seems to get more dry throughout the day. I was also given tessalon perles for the cough but they did not help. Should I visit my doctor?

this cough is due to irritataion in the throat due to the procedure due to which your mucous glands had increased secretions, you can take a mucolytic if it is bothering u much.u can also make a special tea that contains one cup milk n put two tablespoons of whole dried coriander seeds n boil it till it is left half a cup, then drink it sip by sip once a day for few days,it has miraculous effects on dry allergic coughs.
