Sore Throat, Sinus Infection. Taken Medication, Sore Throat Coming Back. Suggestions?

Hello I went to My Doctor 3weeks ago because I had a sore throat she said I had a sinus infection and prescribed me Hydrocodone Cough Syrup and Azithromycin which cleared it up on the 3rd day of taking these meds. My soar throat is back only on the right side with pain in my right ear and there is a red spot in the roof of my mouth in the back. My throat is worse at night. Can you please tell me what this could possibly be.
