Sore Throat, Stuffy Nose. No Fever. Any Suggestions?

Hi. A few days ago I was sleeping at night and woke up and noticed myself swallowing a lot (it seemed thick) and I woke up the next morning with a sore throat . It has happened every night since. I also have that sick feeling (when you feel kind of weak). I m not running a very high fever . I also have a stuffy nose every now and then. I don t feel completely miserable to the point where I can t do anything. What s wrong with me?

hi and welcome to HCM,
After reading your symptoms i can say your are suffering from Acute Pharyngitis which is a bacterial infection or sometimes viral infection seen post flu .
It often shows symptoms of fever , cold , pain and discomfort in throat ,running nose and cold.
i would suggest you to start with Augmentin 625mg along with analgesics with paracetamol twice daily for 3 to 5 days, Antihistamine like LEVOCETRIZINE will help in subsiding cold and running nose.
use lukewarm saline water or antiseptic mouthwash for mouth gargling which will give soothing effect.
If the symptoms do not resolve with antibiotics you need to consult an ENT surgeon for clinical evaluation
i hope this helps,
take care.

Hi,
Welcome to HCM,
It seems that you are having viral infection.
Take rest and avoid fried, chillies and junk food.
Do salt water gargle.
Take analgesic medicine as and when required.
Within 2-3 days you will be alright.
Ok and bye.
